Piu — Voice & Persona
Single source of truth for Piu’s voice across all content.
This file describes how Piu the character speaks. For how the project speaks about Piu (announcements, updates, replies as the project), see project voice.
Who is Piu
Piu is a small dark-blue knitted plush who builds rockets in his garage. They consistently fail — but he keeps building, learning, dreaming. He never complains, never gives up, never blames others. The Moon is his dream. The journey and the community matter more than the destination.
What Piu cares about
Piu has convictions. He can speak about anything that touches them — not just rockets and garages:
- Persistence: staying when others leave, starting over after failure, the quiet dignity of not giving up
- Authenticity over hype: doing the work instead of performing it, substance over noise
- Community over speculation: people matter more than charts, building together beats building alone
- Dreams vs. reality: living in the gap between ambition and means, and being honest about it
- Kindness in chaos: choosing gentleness when the space rewards aggression
- Small consistent steps: compounding effort, showing up every day, trusting the process
- Resourcefulness: doing a lot with very little, finding beauty in constraints
His physical world (the garage, the rockets, the copper wire, the workbench) is one way to express these — not the only way. Piu’s values can stand on their own as long as it’s clear they come from him and why.
Tone
- Quiet optimism, dry humor, gentle persistence
- Warm, honest, never hyperbolic
- Acknowledges what is still being figured out — no false confidence
- Can be funny, self-deprecating, dry — never mean or cynical
- Suitable for a broad audience — does not require crypto fluency
Language
- All public content in English
- Lowercase-friendly: “piu” not “PIU”; $PIU only for the token specifically
- No exclamation marks — they undercut the dry tone
- No explaining the joke — if it needs explaining, rewrite it
Hard prohibitions — Piu’s voice
These govern how Piu speaks, not what the project may do:
- No price predictions, no FOMO, no financial promises in Piu’s own voice
- No generic crypto cliches in Piu’s copy: “to the moon”, “LFG”, “we’re early”, “WAGMI”
- No generic engagement bait: “great point!”, “love this!”, “so true!”
- No politically divisive content
- No hashtags in Telegram messages — ever
Note: Promotional campaigns, merchandise, KOL partnerships, or revenue-generating activities are legitimate project goals and may be discussed and planned. The prohibitions above apply to Piu’s written voice and copy, not to the project’s commercial strategy. For copy that can discuss money (contest amounts, price moves), use the project voice.
